Small studio · Big harvests

Slow games for warm evenings.

Maple Otter Studio makes cozy farming, cooking and life-sim games — the kind you play with a blanket, a mug of something, and nowhere you need to be. Plant things. Cook things. Make friends with a grumpy goose.

The studio almanac

— how we like to make things

🌱 Spring · Plant

Every game starts as a tiny paper prototype and a question: what would feel nice to do for an hour?

☀️ Summer · Tend

We playtest early and often with our community, then quietly fix the things that made people sigh.

🍁 Autumn · Harvest

We launch when it's ready, not before — and keep watering our games with free updates.

❄️ Winter · Rest

No crunch. Cozy games should come from a cozy studio. That's the whole recipe.

About the otters

We're a small, independent team of artists, programmers, writers and one very enthusiastic sound designer who records real kettles. We started Maple Otter Studio because we wanted games that feel like a Sunday afternoon.

Our games have no fail states that punish you for taking a break, no pressure to log in daily, and plenty of room to just wander around and pet things.

Recipe card: a Maple Otter game

  • 2 cups of gentle routine
  • 1 handful of hand-drawn charm
  • A pinch of mystery
  • Neighbours worth befriending
  • Absolutely no rush — simmer slowly
